    Default Accidentally restored my iPhone

I had a jailbroken & unlocked 3G that had a 3.1.3 firmware. Itunes had a pop-up message as I plugged in my iphone. I must have not read it as I thought it just asked me to update itunes and not mess with my iphone. Turns out my iphone got restored

Now Im pretty sure I have to jailbreak it all over again.. ugh. Question is, how do I find out what firmware my iphone has right now? I dont know what itunes did to my iphone during this process. All that I know is that it got restored.

If it restored it to 3.1.3 just use jailbreakme.com and unlock with ultasn0w

If you backed up your SHSH blobs to the previous 3.1.3 firmware, I'd restore the iPhone again in DFU mode using an ipsw file. You can kick it out of recovery mode with TU or RecBoot, and then rejailbreak it with the same firmware it was on. Let me know if you want to do this and need better instructions.

Since it's a 3G you don't need shsh's to restore to 3.1.3 just download the firmware.

As said, Download a stock 3.1.3 and connect to iTunes and and Shift+Restore to the firmware you have downloaded.

There is no shift+restore button in itunes. It says I am using a SIM card that is not supported. I dont even know if it is using firmware 4.x. I dont even know how to check it at this point since the phone is locked.

Im still trying to get it out of recovery mode but every guide I see is telling me to do different things

    Shift+restore means:

On the computer keyboard hold the shift button down while pressing the iTunes restore button.

Yes I know but there is no restore button. All it says is that my SIM card is not supported in itunes.

No but I can get one. Is this necessary? I remember being able to bypass this a couple times before when I unlocked/jailbroke my iphones in the past

I have not attempted to downgrade yet because my phone is stuck in the "connect to itunes" screen. I believe this means it is in recovery mode. When I connect it to my computer/itunes, it tells me I have an invalid SIM card.

That is pretty much all I know at this point. I am not entirely sure how my iphone locked back up like that but believe I updated it. Last thing I remember itunes saying was my iphone was being restored.

It appears that my iPhone is not actually in recovery mode because in Tinyumbrella, the exit recovery option is greyed out. The enter recovery option is NOT greyed out.

    Firmware version: 4.2.1
    Baseband version: 05.15.04-5.9_M3S2
