Need assistance with syncing in iTunes

Recently had to replace 3GS with a new phone. iTunes v10 has many songs and apps that were on only phone--most ********** and some free ones from iTunes. Plugging in the new jailbroken 3GS phone iTunes indicates it might erase contents since the serial number of the new phone doesn't match that of the old. I don't want this to happen is there anyway around it? I would like to continue using iTunes (it's so lame) since my daughter has it new phone and she uses iTunes on her laptop.

Please let me know if there is anyway to get around this without having to remove and re-install itunes or is this the only answer. Even if I choose to set up the phone as a new one--it would seem that the library would contain no songs or apps and iTunes may still erase the phone.

I am wrapped around the axle a bit as you can see.
