apps wont sync

hey guys, firsy wanted to congratulate the modmyi guys for running such a tip top site, fingers truly are on the i device pulse.

now a problem id be gratefull if anyone can help with as its driving me up the wall

prob is my apps wont sync from i tunes, just swithhed from a 3g in ipgone 4 and on my 3g i had the apps box checked under my devices and the apps id like on my phone checked. after sync they not there

i can download straight from the apps store ok.

itunes doesnt back up apps i have downloaded via my iphone onto my pc

i have just backed up my 3g for the iphone 4 switch over and sync up to my iphone 4 and yet again apps havent come over

please help guys

Please confirm you have officially purchased all the apps that won't sync. Any apps that you need to transfer from the phone to the PC can be done by right clicking on your device in iTunes and selecting "transfer purchases".

Sounds to me you have cracked apps which we do not tolerate here on mmi.

indeedy in fact all the apps are free ones that i use the most except whatsapp but just found music wont transfer either,

Seen as you were running a 3G and are now on the iPhone 4, you did up date to the latest iTunes didn't you ?

indeed i did, had to it to activate the phone

I would go into the application folder and copy all the ipa's out and then delete them from iTunes completely and then after that drag them all back in to see if that helps

where on my pc would i find the ipa??
this iphone is not jailbroken, its fresh out the box so i cant ssh etc

CDocuments and Settings\MarkC\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Mobile Applications
but this contains the current ipa i have on my iphone.
im looking to delete the old ipa ie the apps i have deleted from my iphone and will no longer be using
after googling the problem a little in older versions of itunes it said i could right click and show path and delete that way. but right clicking on 10.1.1.4 doesnt work anymore

If you sync your phone up and got to where you apps are kept, and delete the ones you dont want it will take them out of iTunes and then all you have to do is re sync after you restat iTunes and they will be gone.

Or am i missing the point ?

Oh great that fixed it. Seems all the apps under the library where only the preview pix. The actual ipa had already gone. Can't sync a file that's not there. All fixed. Thanks all
