Baseband question

I used redsnow to jailbreak and was wondering if there is or ever will be a way to change the baseband back from the iPad version. I should have waited and tried to back to another iPhone baseband and then used one of the untethered breaks

There are two ways that could lead to that. Either the dev team figures out a way to downgrade baseband, or Apple releases a firmware with a baseband that is higher than 6.15.
