    How do I use some of the tones from apps as a text tone?

    You would need the sound and then convet it to .caf and place that in the iPhone SMS folder, You would need to name it the same as one of the stock ones i.e Tritone and replace the stock apple one.

    AnyRing (0.99 via Cydia) allows any iTunes song to be assigned to ringtone or SMS. Cheap too
