Yeah it is pain sometimes. Were you able to use ireb to get you in a pwnd dfu mode before loading the custom ipsw? It's on the snowbreeze site. Give that a try. If it won't work try restoring to a stock 4.2.1 using tu uncheck the point to cydia box so it points back to apple, again when you get 1015 use tu to try and kick it. If it works let me know.

1.on windows 7... i tried itunes (shift-alt) restore using 4.2.1, error 1015, used TU 4.21.02 to kick our of recovery... still on restore mode (USB-ITUNES)
2. on mac os x snow leopard... try out making custom fw of 4.2.1 on pwnage tool 4.1.3 unlock edition (without ipad baseband, because i am on it already), back on windows 7... use iREB 4.0.x-4.1-RC2 to go on pwnd dfu mode, then (shift-restore) or (shift-alt-restore) on itunes. let's see what happens.
on green screen pwn dfu mode.
update:
1. shift-alt-restore = error 21 on itunes
2. shift-restore = error 21 on itunes
3. using pwnage tool 4.1.3 unlock edition to enter dfu... alt-restore the custom 4.2.1 fw = success finally
woot, i will install ultrasn0w 1.2 now to have carrier unlock.
ok, another question...
what app should i use to save the itunes apps or cydia apps i installed?Last edited by PARUSA; 01-18-2011 at 11:26 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
