help with frozen iphone need to sync b4 restore

My problem is that I have not synkd my blackrain jailbroken
iphone 3gs for a long time for the fear of losing my apps so now that I have run another util blacksnow by mistake, my phone is frozen with the white apple.
All the usual reboots holding power and On buttons don't work.
Is it possible to sync and backup a frozen iphone before performing a restore so I don't lose all my data from my last restore approx 5 months ago

Typically no there is no way to retrieve data in that state. The phone usually needs to be booted all the way up even to ssh into it. You could try but it most likely wont work. Syncing a jailbroke phone doesn't cause it to lose jailbroke or apple apps unless they are pirated....
