Default can I syncronize multiple contact groups from gmail to iphone?
    Happy New Year!
I use gmail to manage my contacts and was able to setup the push sync with my iphone. I wanted to create another group in gmail and have it synced to a separate group in iphone...can this be done?

Also I cannot add custom phone nubmer lables to contacts synced with gmail? Seems like they are two different kinds of contacts. Can anyone please explain. Thanks!

I use exchange for my work mail account and it shows the separate groups in my contacts in my phone, so you should be good doing the same with google.

Setting up google as an exchange does not allow for the separate group contacts to appear on the iphone as of yet.

Default iPhone To Gmail Contacts Sync With Groups
    Hello all,

I just posted an app to the iPhone App store which I think will solve your problems. It's called "Contacts Sync With Groups For Gmail." It allows you to copy your iPhone contacts to Gmail and vice versa while maintaining any group assignments. For instance, you may have your iPhone contacts organized into groups such as "friends," "family," and "coworkers." WIth this app, you can copy those contacts to Gmail and they'll appear in the same groups.

You can read about my app at:
