Hi posted on here earlier but with no response, but I hve downloaded IREb v4 and have managed to get to the green screen stage, but all the custom firmware i have tried from the torrent sites dont work PLEASEcould someone PM me a link to a good firmware for a Iphone 3G I dont have any SHSH will that make any differnce?

hi well i was trying the 4.1 but i will try which ever one will get the phone working again.
I have managed to get it on the phone according to itunes but it wont reboot i dont know if this is because i havnt got any shsh blobs

You won't beable to go to 4.1 unless you shsh is already saved I recommend going to 3.1.3 and jailbreak with jailbreakme.com

You have to do it via computer.

Run tinyumbrela as a TSS server.
Download 3.1.3 fw from here on mmi.
Plug the phone into iTunes
Click alt shift restore select fw
Let it do it's think they you will need to kick it out of dfu when it's done.
Thats it

It's best to be in dfu when doing a downgrade too.

hi guys, sorry your proberly a fustrated as me by now, i have downloaded the required fw and tried to put iphone in to dfu but now it wont do anything and isnt reconised by tinyumbrella all it says is accepting connections, but itunes recongnises it i have tried holding the buttons to get it in to dfu but still nothing

itunes says its in recovery mode,and needs to be restored, so just for the hell of it i am running it now, TU is running and said recovery device connected then disconected, but it still dosent show the device in the box on the left hand side where it says show all shsh, well it didnt do anything but at least im seeing the usb lead and itunes on the screen again

Tiny umbrella wont recognize a device in dfu or recovery except to use the button exit recovery.

ok but the exit recovery option is available to me, it was yesterday!
so something has changed

Like x98 said tiny won't see it except to kick it so you will be good just go ahead and downgrade

hi, and thankyou i have managed to get it back to some form of normality i have the emergency screen up, sim not supported, so i have been able to save the shsh blobs. so now all i need to do is unlock it, what it the best program to do this with and what version of ipsw is best.
