Is jailbreakme.com coming out with a new 4.2.1 jailbreak?

I've use jailbreakme.com for my ipod touch 1st gen and it has work fine. There has been a couple of system crash but all i had to do is reboot. Now i want jailbreak and unlock my iphone 3G using the same method... Because what i herd was that jailbreakme.com was working hard to make a jailbreak for 4.2.1. Now is that true or not?

You will need to use redsn0w to jailbreak 4.2.1. They patched the hole that made jailbreakme.com possible in 4.0.2
You could downgrade your 3g to 3.1.3 and use jailbreakme.com

Ok then whish one is more convinient n easier, the downgrade or redsnow? Cause i have no expirience with redsnow. It seem simple but i dont want to lose all the things i have on my iphone.

redsnow is really simple,

use youtube, they have tutorials
