Cydia upgrade IS it Necessary ?
Yowzaaaa People,

I don't want to pay another £25.00 IS there an easy way to do this, like buy a program or the like?

Jailbreaking is always free. You got scammed when you paid for it. What phone do you currently have 3G or 3GS.

Just hit the update cydia and jailbreaking or completely free services. You only paid for someone to do it, you could of done it for free though just by looking on this site.
But yes your okay to update what ever it tells you in cydia free of charge.

He wants to go to 4.1 that's the problem. If we know what iPhone he has like the 3G then he could go to 4.2.1. Also the fact he might need an unlock although he may not. Also because his phone may be a new bootrom 3GS he will need 4.1.

Lol there ya go.
So anywho the question remains do you need the unlock or not.
And sounds like either way your going to have to go to 4.2.1 and miss out on 4.1

So jack if you go into cydia on the main page there should be at the top shsh or firmwares such as 3.1.3,4.0.4.0.1,4.0.2, and so on. What does yours say?

Upgrade Essential
You can go ahead and update those with out having to update your firmware
shsh or blobs are firmware you have saved as back ups.
Apple stops signing firmware a week or two usually after they release a new one so if you have them saved in cydia which should do it automatically it will allow you to jump firmware to firmware and bypass apples check.
