Problem with Multitasking - bunching apps together..
My wife has a problem with her multitasking on her iPhone 4 (running 4.1, jailbroken with Limera1n). Whenever she double clicks the home button to activate the multitasking the apps down the bottom are all bunched up together. Also, when you start to scroll through them it is only using half of screen. I have checked that it isn't the theme she is running as it still does this when there is no theme running.

Does anyone know what is going on here?
Many thanks in advance.Last edited by Waverley73; 12-27-2010 at 03:05 AM.

Hi
Run the phone in safe mode to see if it does it when you are in safe mode. If it does you will have to restore to 4.1 and re jailbreak
But if not then it is something that you have installed, You say its not the theme but my guess is it must be something to do with the theme as the multitask bar has been re sized ??
Try installing another theme and then re booting but try safe mode first

Ive actually just noticed that the image has a different resolution in the lower left than the rest of the screen. Where is that image stored as even when I turn the theme off that same pic is shown. Maybe it is getting stuck trying to show a 3G image on an iphone 4 screen or something?

The image will be somewhere in the theme folders, unless you mean the stock ones, thats why i said to run in safe mode to see if it still does it ? SBsettings > Power > Safemode.
It has to be someting to do with that theme, it could be as simple as the wallpaper being the wrong size, so that gives you another option, try swapping the wallpaper. But run safe mode so we can narrow it down
Plus the iPhone 4 themes run PNG different, for e.g and image on 3G will be named (image.png) and on the iphone 4 it will be ([email protected]) so that will be the problem.Last edited by pratt1503; 12-27-2010 at 06:20 AM.

I need help with this same issue. My sister's iPhone 4 has been having it for a while now too. I figured out the url the person tried to post by googling but the page seems to be down. Can you please write what solve it? Or does anyone else know? Thanks in advance.

OK, this hopefully helps. It was a while ago that I fixed the issue I had but this is from the link I had (opened the google cache):
Please let me know if that doesn't fix it.Seems like the FolderSwitcherBG is too small for your iPhone. You have an iPhone 4 so you might need a bigger one. Delete the switcherlinenand turn off your theme and you'll should the stock one working properly if you haven't changed it. If this works justget a bigger image the same size as your stock FolderSwitcherBG
EDIT: A bit more detail on this:
Goto whatever theme you are running on your phone and delete the file called FolderSwitcherBG (plus any others names that with @2x or @2x~iphone on the end). These can be found at Bundles/com.apple.springboard/
After you've done that do this:
Goto private / var / mobile / Library / Caches / com.apple.Springboard.folderSwitcherLinen and delete the file com.apple.Springboard.folderSwitcherLinen, then respring.
That should fix it.Last edited by Waverley73; 02-07-2011 at 01:37 AM.
