Bluetooth Problem Please help

Hi guys, having abit of an unusual problem here concerning bluetooth on my iphone,

before i start im currently using an iPhone 3G[S] on FW 3.1.2

I recently restored my iPhone due to a currupt cydia install crashing my iphone but that was resolved by the restore.

Two days ago i was messing around in my bluetooth settings and pressed 'forget this device' on a paired bluetooth headset (was working perfectly before).

After clicking it i tried pairing the device again and the iPhone didnt find any devices, i got a friends phone and turned on bluetooth and tried finding it... no luck.

I then tried searching for my iPhone from his phone it found it within a few seconds and tried pairing the device which worked perfectly entered a passcode and it prompted me on my iphone for the pass code and it connected.

I then clicked forget this device, tried searching for his phone again... no luck.

I tried 'reset all settings' from my iPhone to see if that would work that didnt work.

I then read on some forums (no one has had a similar problem to this, as far as i can see, spent around 6 hours searching for a solution to no avail) of an app called ibluetooth.

I installed ibluetooth as soon as it started i got a cannot find stash error (or something similar), googled that and a few people were having the same problem with different problems so i uninstalled that.

I then installed ibluenova, it executed properly, but when tried to turn bluetooth on from the app it would say it was on but not show the bluetooth icon in the status bar, i check sbsettings and it was turned off, i tried turning it on using the sbsettings toggle but it would turn green (indicating it was on) i would close sbsettings and open it again and it was red again (indicating it was off).

This is as far as i have got so far and cant think of anything else i could try, i could restore again but this is time hungry process for me, and if there is another solution to this it would be easier for me.
