Default Forcing an app update check

    Hey all,

I've tried to search not only this site but the whole internets, and it's too general to return real values to me.

Recently my brother in law purchased a 3GS from a coworker because it was 'broken' (stuck on the lock screen). After I restored it and hooked it up to my computer, I opted to sync my apps to it (everything I've ever loaded onto my iPhone 4). All we really wanted to do with it was get Angry Birds and some games on it so his son can use it like a touch.

Here's my problem: I don't know what happened, but now on MY iPhone 4, all the update push notifications in my App Store disappeared; my phone thinks all Apps are up to date, and when I go to the store and look at the apps I have, it wants me to purchase them instead of saying 'Installed'.

Is there a way to force my phone to try and search for the updates again? There were like 50 apps that needed to be updated (my WiFi was shot and I wasn't about to use a butt-load of my data plan to update things like Infinity Blade and other 400mb+ apps), and I want to try and fix it.

Thanks fo' yo' helps. Sorry if this has been covered, I couldn't find anything on it.

More searching with better keywords gave me this post that was not only similar but in the correct forum... Sorry about that. I forgot we have an app store discussion forum. We can just let this thread die then, I guess.
