Hi. I am a new iPhone user, and I had tried to avoid iTunes as much as possible. However, with the delay of 4.2.1 jb, i decided to use iTunes to export my contacts. I have already clicked 'prevent auto syncing' and unchecked every sync option box for each category.

To my greatest shock, when i clicked Sync contacts with Windows Contacts and Apply(under Info tab), it synced my apps too, without permission. It's ridiculous but true. Now I fully believe that iTunes is malware. Worst part--the contact sync didn't work out because all my old contact numbers are stored in a label called 'OTHERS' instead of 'MOBILE', thus they weren't imported into windows contacts.

Will someone help me export my contacts or back it up into a format that could be interoperable between different SIMs and phones for future use?
