Default iTunes 10.1.1.4 is it safe for Jailbreaking?

I was just wondering. I'm on 10.1.0.54 and it is fine. But I was wondering if anyone has ran into any apple sh*t...lol

Worked for me without problems 12 hrs ago (3GS updated to 4.2.1 w/custom firmware & redsnow beta 6, AT&T activation, ultrasnow/T-Mobile)

But it's terribly slow on Win XP (2GHz Core 2, 3GB ram). What is Apple doing?
