Default syncing 2nd phone in itunes

I am getting the wife an iphone for Christmas and need to know how I can sync it so that she gets my apps on her phone and then from then on set it up so she has a seperate sync. Is this possible?

No, unless she continues to sync under your iTunes account she will lose all of the apps. You can set up contact groups, playlists etc to continue using the same account, but sync different info to the separate phones.

    ^ as above

But if you are using the same itunes, you can sync what you like to each phone. i.e set up a play list for you and then one for your wife for the Music.

And select or deselect the apps you want and she wants.

Hope this makes sense let me know if not as i do it with mine and my wifes phone

But wouldn't we both have the same contacts list etc that way? I just wanted to be able to put all my apps on her phone without having to go in and do them one at a time on hers, but we definately have different contacts and I thought it faster for her to delete any of my apps she didn't want rather then the other way around..

The reason for grouping contacts is so that you can sync groups,,,you are group 1 and she would be group 2. Sync group 1 to your phone and sync group 2 to her phone. All of your contacts will be together in iTunes, but it will differentiate them by using the groups. If you are on a Mac you can use Address Book and for Windows there is Outlook. I am not sure if Windows Address Book creates groups because I use Outlook.
