Default May have to exchange my phone. Any advice?

Ok so I have an iPhone 4 that I think has a Bluetooth hardware issue so I may have to exchange it. Will apple give me problems about wanting an exchange? I can't get any Bluetooth to stay consistenly connected to the headset. I tried my gf's iPhone works just fine. Anyways I hate to have to get rid of this phone especially since there is no untethered jb for 4.2 at the moment. I'm guessing the exchange will most likely have 4.2 on it. So Ive never done this before. I know to restore the phone before I go there. Also will the exchange be a new phone right? Or refurbished?

From what I've read on here it seems that is kinda pot luck what FW will be on the new phone. I suppose it would depend on when apple manufactured the phone they replace it with. If it's been in a warehouse for a few month then you probably get 4.1.
I seen someone got one recently from apple that had several SHSH's saved for it! Which means it was a refurb that had been previously jailbroken.
Personally I wouldn't worry too much about a refurb as long as it looked like new with no marks and worked perfectly ok....

I would just check all the known problems out before leaving the store
    example the camera
