i did that both on my router and iphone. when i go into network setting on phone it shows me connected to my router but no information shows up in the network menu where it shows the ip address. it also shows a address starting with 254 and then it dissapears so i dont know what could be wrong this is the first time i am having this problem.

Have you installed anything recently? Especially any networking pgms like MyWi or PDANet? Try uninstalling and rebooting.

A jb'd phone is not the problem. If everything else fails, start again with a fresh restore.

Had the same problem, it was because the Iphone and the router had an IP conflict or I had to sign in.

    both causes these issues
