How to enable "earbud buttons" on iphone 3g?
For some odd reason, the volume buttons on the in ear apple heasdets (or any headset for the matter) aren't compatible with the iphone 3g? Why does apply limit it from small features
(no i'm not asking for bad gaming performance----> i know the cpu isn; that fast.) The ipod touch 2g has the smae hardware, but 3 advantages:
Nike + ipod is enabled (3g has the hardware)
cpu speed is 533 mhz (isntead of 4XX on the 3g, even though they have the same processor)
now the goddamn buttons!!
Is there anything i can add to n82ap.plist ?
like a string to enable the volume buttons? I mean, the mute button runs fine? So why isn't the volume comaptible?
Maybe i can still a line from the ipt2g....

I suspect it's a hardware incompatibility. The 3GS has always been able to use them, and the iPod Classic even got a firmware update to add compatibility for them, but I'm seeing nothing for the 3G.

I really think that apple just likes to hold things back from certain devices
For example, the 3GS has a 802.11n radio, yet it's limited to 802.11g
The 3G even had the hardware for Nike + iPod; but it is disabled
I guaranty there must be a way to make it work
The pause play button works fine.....
anybody ?
