    Default Upgrading IOS

Well I have an iphone 3g and i'm on ios 4.0 jail broken and unlocked, but it's slow as heck. I have t mobile service on it and i'm afraid i'll lose it. If i upgrade to 4.2 would I lose it? I don't really care about my apps, music, or jail breaking I just want it to be faster and still have my service. So is there anyway to upgrade and keep my service?

You would need to use a custom 4.2.1 made with pwnage tool to preserve baseband. Do you have access to a Mac?

You cant preserve baseband with redsnow. redsnow can do the ipad baseband update but if he is already at a unlockable baseband he should try to preserve that baseband with a custom firmware.

I can PM one to you. Do you need hacktivation or do you have a official carrier sim to activate with?
