How to jailbreak iphone 2g??? NEED HELP

Hello,
So i lend my friend my old iphone 2g but she accidentally updated and restored it through itunes. Now I have to go through this trouble to jailbreak it. I have a jailbroken iphone 4 so I have no idea how to jailbreak this phone. I tried to use redsn0w and other jailbreak application but it doesn't work.
I read forums saying redsn0w is the best application but I am just too confused of how to jailbreak it.
If someone could just help me out by telling me which jailbreak application and which version of it I have to download and what appropriate iphone firmware I have to download for 2g.
So to recap, this iphone 2g is restored to the latest itunes and I don't know which jailbreak app and firmware I need in order to jail break it. Thank you.

It all depends on what system you've got. Also, if it's been updated via iTunes you'll be on 3.1.3 which is the highest a 2G can go to.
