Default Turn off the battery percentage?

I don't know if I have OCD now or what but that battery percentage meter on my iphone freaks me out. When it drops to even 80% I run to charge it. My phone does have battery drain but that meter is making me paranoid. How do I turn it off?
    I have a jailbroken/unlocked 3g running 3.1.3

I don't have that on/off toggle when I go to settings-usage. I unlocked mine with ultrasnow.

Oh duh it's 3.1.3 go into cydia and go to manage then go to packages. Search for the package it will be called battery percentage or something click it and then hit remove.

Went to Cydia then packages. Nothing about battery meter or percentages. Let's see there's something Terminal, Erica Utilities, T-Mobile Postpaid

If you've got a 3G, then the battery percentage was added by some jailbroken means, whether that was your jailbreak tool itself or something else, since the toggle in Settings doesn't appear unless you're on a 3GS or greater. It could be as simple as SBSettings - swipe, tap More, tap System Options, check if "Numeric Battery" is enabled. If so, disable it. Probably requires a respring to take effect.

If you have it installed, swipe the status bar left or right to open the menu. If it's not installed then my instructions won't help you.
