Default Help Stuck In Recovery Mode

Wasn't real sure where to put this considering my phone is neither jailbroken or unlocked but here it goes. I went to update to OS 4.2 and now its stuck in recovery mode. I get a different error every time I try to restore it through iTunes. I was told to try RecBoot but it didn't work. The phone will now boot to the recovery screen, shut off, then reboot over and over again. I have no idea what to do now. Any ideas? Thanks.

Are you using the latest version of ITunes ?

You say you are going to 4.2.1 but where from, And do you need to be jailbroken and Unlocked ?

My guess is you are not using the latest iTunes which you need to install all the new firmwears, But without giving more info its just a guess

Sorry I should have specified. This is immediately after updating to the latest iTunes. Going to 4.2.1 from 4.1. I don't need it jailbroken or unlocked.

You don't need to RESTORE you need to update.

If this fails then download iTunes again and get another copy of 4.2.1 firmwear and do a shift restore, there is NO reason why you should be getting any errors
