Updating JB IP4 to 4.2

Im currently on version 4.0.1 and jailbroken. My problem is that some of my apps are now not working and asking for 4.1 and 4.2.


Is there a jailbreak for 4.2 and if so, how do I get a 4.2 file to update to. As i believe currently apple are on 4.2.1 or along the lines of.

There is no 4.2, the new firmwear is 4.2.1 and that is teathered Jailbreak unless you are on 3G (as you didn't mention that)

If you are at 4.0.1 and Jailbroken then i assume you have your SHSH blobs saved with Cydia and or Tiny ?

If so i would download Tiny umbrella unless you have it. Then Download a 4.1 firmware for your phone and Jailbreak again with Limera1n.

I would stay away from 4.2.1 for the moment and wait for the next unteathered Jailbreak to come along.

Ahh ok. I thought it was 4.2 and they were different. That is all ok then. I will wait til the next jailbreak then. Just so i know, where can i get the old firmwares from anyways.
