    You would?
    That's nice.

    Unfortunately, YOU CAN'T.

My advice, is to throw away your ipod and get an armadillo or a new pair of shoes instead.

It would work fine you may lose a little quality but not enough to tell you just have to crop it to size. 320/460

He's not worried about losing quality.
    He's concerned about loosing it.
However, his goose is loose (and nearly cooked.)

    - In the wrong subforum (SDK development)
    - asking how to resize to the wrong dimensions (360x480 != 380x480)
    - asking how to do something impossible (scale a picture up without losing quality)
    - from an image that wasn't scaled proportionately to begin with

    No. You can't do that.

You can: squash, stretch or crop
You will: lose detail. Not significantly. But there's no way around it.

I try to give reasonable replies to reasonable requests, but this one fell outside my interpretation of "reasonable".
Take it up with the management. :|

Okay and i answered his question with detail you on the other hand gave him a No with out in details or explanation until now you pretty much just made fun of him.
If this thread isnt reasonable for your reply then why did you even post? To be a jerk simple as that so stay out.

Well dude, grammar goes a long way. It's funny how 'tech savvy' people can't even bloody spell.
    OP asked about 'loosing' quality.
Look up the word 'loose', then look up the word 'lose'. You will find they're different.

OK, well he might have posted a low res version of his image?

Anyway, to try and answer your question, you can have it as your wallpaper, but not as it is right now. You can take a vertical rectangle shape out of it at 320 x 480 px, so you would just have to pick your favorite bit of the picture as your wallpaper.

As the other poster said, Gimp is an image manipulation and editing program that is free for both Mac and Windows. I use it a lot and love it on my mac, so if you don't have photoshop and dont want to buy it or steal it, try gimp. A quick google will get you there in a jiffy.

I seem to remember a tweak or app on cydia that would allow for multiple wallpapers over three pages on 4.x. I can't remember what it's called and never used it, but if that worked you could just re-size your image to 960 wide by 480 high and then you would get most of your image on there as a wallpaper.

If you're still lost and this is going over your head, pm me and I'll give you an e-mail address, send me the image and I'll re-size it and crop it for you.
