Default Since upgrading to 4.2.1, any app switch to Maps causes crash

Found a fix for 3G on 4.2.x multitasking issues: see [ame]http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1054480[/ame]

    ---

Title says it all. since I used the latest PwnageTool to take my 3G to 4.2.1, any app that attempts to switch to the built-in Google Maps crashes Springboard. I can launch Maps on its own and its fine.

I had Switcher Mod/Remove Recents installed and removed them but didn't help. Any thoughts? Any way to debug this?

Edit: Amending this. It's starting to look like any attempt at an internal app switch causes the crash. Have installed syslogd and Crash Reporter and hope that will turn up something.

here's my log from a sample crash, anything stick out to anyone? I bolded the exception, which I'll have to research a bit.

    Thanks in advance!

So someone on the Dev Team Blog comments section responded and said multitasking isn't supported on the 3G with 4.2.1? Does Apple now enforce this?

The only way to solve this problem is to remove SBSettings. I had this same issue. I couldn't click any link for it to switch an app (i.e. click a URL in my email for it to open Safari) without it crashing and rebooting in Safe Mode. I also had the problem with tapping reply on a text message alert, if I was in another app, then when it would try to switch the apps, it would crash and reboot in safe mode again.

I am running a 3G on 4.2.1. I have read many forums and this has been others solutions, so I uninstalled it. I do like SBSettings and miss it, but until they update it, I can't have the aggravation of always having my phone crash. Btw, my phone hasn't crashed...not one time, since I uninstalled SBSettings.

Just thought I would help out.
