Default iPhone 3G - how to enable Airplay

    Hi,

    I have a iPhone 3G running 4.2.1 with JB.

I have been waiting to see if/how airplay can be enabled via a JB hack.

Is it something that can be enabled via N82AP.plist?

If not, does anyone have a view as to whether it is possible at all and what is required?

    Thanks in advance.

Well it exist but it's on a hack source see pic

There is no paid version to my knowledge

    AirplaySpeaker

I'm forbidden by MMI to tell you the source address but as you can see from the pic the repo does exist, try searching google

If I'm wrong and there is a paid version please delete my response and tell him the answer, id edit it out but the picture would stay up since I'm in the iPhone app

Thanks for the quick response but I don't think this is what I need.

I want to enable airplay on a iPhone 3G rather than use my 3g as airplay speaker.

Airplay was pulled from the 3G at the GM stage of IOS 4.2 so it was included in the beta for IOS 4.2.

    Any other ideas?

    thanks again for your thoughts.

I hope you are right about ios 4.3 and airplay on my 3G. I guess we'll see when the 4.3 beta / GM is released.

I am surprised I have not found another solution yet (i have been looking). I can't be the only 3G owner who is gutted that airplay was pulled from ios 4.2 (on iPhone 3g)...

    cheers.

Could you just downgrade to the Final Beta of 4.2.1?

I was running the final beta 4.0 for a long time and since it's the final beta it still works just get ahold of a 4.2.1 one

    Hello,
    I'm like you,

I would like to enable airplay on my wife's iphone 3g just to play pictures,......and I'm sure aplle won't add this feature in the upcoming 4.3

I would like to know this before buying the apple tv. I don't want she asking me to exchange our iphones

    Best regards

Thanks for the suggestion to run 4.2 beta on iphone 3G. I think that is my only option at the moment.

I'll wait for 4.3 beta to see if any airplay features are going to be implmented for iPhone 3G first.

    Cheers
