    Default Death To The Unlock!

Today is a great day for the unlock on our iPhones, but comes with sacrifce. Its sad to say, but their will be a day in the near future the unlock will vanish. The Dev members do such much great work on our jailbreaks and do all this free of charge. But, there is so far they can go with the unlock! As of today, to have a unlock we will; void our warranties, use a iPad baseband, and forever loose a official restore. I would not own a iPhone if it was not for the Jailbreak, hands down the iDevice customising and tweaks are the best compared to any device! Without a Jailbreak you simply can't unlock your iphones, so without a unlock you will see a flood of bricked iPhones on the market for sale. Apple is taking our freedom away little by little by these updates, I feel if we pay $300-$500 for a phone we should choose our own carriers! I am sorry to say, someday we will all have to switch over to ATT or become a Android user. I hope it does not come to this, but it looks like soon it will be death to the unlock!

Show your well-justified dissappointment by not buying Apple or AT&T again. Money rules!

Actually, once another carrier starts carrying the iPhone here you are most likely going to see AT&T allow unlocking once your contract is up.

Not sure about in the US, but here in the UK I'm pretty sure it's illegal for the carrier to refuse to unlock the phone once it's out of contract.

Over here 02 do it for free.

The issue over here is that Apple still has to honor the exclusive agreement between them and AT&T. Most believe (without any proof) that it is soon to end.
