Screen does not fully dim

iphone 3GS, iOS 4.1, JB with limera1n

When I put the screen to sleep, the screen dims... and then comes back partially on... with just a low glow... no details or anything just low glow across the screen.

I tried re-jailbreaking that cost me a whole morning (to reinstall things)... no luck...

Any ideas how to tackle this? ... its KILLING my battery....

Restore sound like it will do it....
