New update on WhatsApp wont work after updating!

Does anyone else have this problem? I think it was 2.5.12 or something, I forgot. But I had the latest version and I wanted to update it for the new features. After the update was finished, when I clicked the app it would launch for 2 seconds and bounce back to my spring board! Anyone been through this also? Any tips/advice? thx
