Wtf!?!!
I downloaded an app from the appstore and opened the iOS 4 app switcher, then closed the switcher and when it closed FOUR new apps were on my homescreen one was the one I downloaded from the app store, but the other three were: "iOS Diagnosics", Messages, and SBSettings (yes, it was installed in cydia) WTF?!?!!?)!!!!!!!
I have a iPod touch 4G iOS 4.1 Limera1n, so I don't know why messages is there, but I've seen iOS diagnostics in the applications folder in iFileLast edited by Danielcg; 11-18-2010 at 06:41 PM.

SB settings doesn't have an icon so I dunno what you're talking about. What app did you get from the App store?

I know it doesn't have an icon, but when I tapped on the icon the SBS "More" app opened, you know, the settings app that opens when you click "More" in SBS
EDIT: After re-springing the icons went awayLast edited by Danielcg; 11-18-2010 at 06:46 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Actually part of your springboard crashed simply respring to fix it
If that doesn't work then either try a reboot
Else its something you recently installed in cydia causing a conflict
Yes SBSettings has an icon but it is suppose to always be hidden
If this worked please thank me on site else keep talking

It just is I had this happen all the time on my old 3G to fix it I just respring or rebooted if that didn't work, sometimes I entered safe mode then exited
All in all it's something you recently installed that's stopping libhide from working correctly
you could Also hide thoughs icons in SBSettings->More>Hide icons->

So libhide crashed?
Idk, It has never happened before and it hasn't happened since, so I think it was a bug in libhide or something, but maybe it's iOS's fault because messages and iOS diagnostics appeared tooLast edited by Danielcg; 11-19-2010 at 06:24 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

this has been a known bug for a long time with libHide. Just respring and everything goes back to normal. I'm not sure why this happens, it happens randomly for me.

Well then you have something installed causing the problem when you respring
To find the flaw
SBSettings-> More-> Mobile Substrate Addons
Turn some stuff off then try the iDevice out alittle if its still there then that's not the solution, so go turn more stuff off, it could be 2 things trying to work on top of eachother thats causing the libhide crash
If you find the solution in MobileSubstrateAddons be sure to first turn it on then uninstall otherwise the problem will stay in the device
