Multitasking on iPhone 3GS not jailbroken

So a friend of mine has a 3GS with AT&T running current OS and says she can't multitask she wants to use pandora and be able to do other things at the same time.

Obviously I have backgrounder but she isnt jailbroken and doesnt have Cydia, is there an app on the app store to make this work for her? I thought you could multitask on 4.0 or grader but I guess she cant.

You can multitask on 4.0 and up but the app has to support it, and Apple's idea of multi-tasking isnt exactly the same as others. I would have thought Pandora would have been updated by now but dont know for sure as I dont use it.

I have a 3GS running 4.1 and Pandora multitasks for me, I just double checked.

Make sure she has the most recent update of Pandora? Maybe have her delete it and reinstall it directly from the appstore?

Ask what she is trying to do as far as multitasking with it. Because if she uses another app that requires sound Pandora will stop playing regardless of multitasking.

Pandora natively supports backgrounding. Just open up the app, start playing something, and then when you click out of it, it should keep running. Double click the home button then swipe to the right to see the media controls for Pandora.

dotFIVE thanks for that too, I downloaded Pandora and mine works, always wondered if there was a way to control it without clicking back into it when I had it in the passed. Not really sure why she is having this issue.
