cydia - not supporting multi tasking?
hi guys,
is it just me or it just cydia? :
when pressing the home button from anywhere in cydia
and afterward entering cydia via the multitasking icon - the whole app
reloading from the beginning and not from the last spot you left it..
is it just my iphone?

No that's just Cydia. It doesn't support multi tasking, there's a reason why but I don't know how to explain it correctly. Its due to that people mess with their files outside of Cydia and it has to reload so your phone don't brick or something like that. But it's how Cydia is(:

But anyway you are right. Saurik is in the middle of revamping cydia, I believe the new cydia will support multitasking.. Not sure when the new cydia is out though.. I have my fingers crossed for it to be released with the 4.2 jb or shortly after

No, that in fact is a good thing. It does this because it uses debian and apt properly. Unlike rock which cut corners and made everything unstable.. Fair enough having the option to only make it fetch new changes when you want, but all of the loading screens after adding repos or downloading something are completely necessary and you should actually thank Saurik for taking such care in coding cydia

yeah just the fetching changes. i go to download something on a new repo i first have to wait for it to fetch changes, then i have to add repo and wait again.. kind of silly. you should be welcomed to 2 buttons fetch and settings.

I just use Backgrounder to force-enable backgrounding for Cydia. Works like a charm. If a respring or reboot is required then Cydia unloads anyway.
