iPhone 3GS white screen

Hey people, I have a white 16gb iPhone 3GS that I cracked the digitizer on, I did the repairs myself and the phone worked fine after. I'd say about a week later I had a solid white screen when I pressed the sleep button, I've tried every solution I can find on google (button combos to full restore) nothing works. I'm happy that I have upgraded to the iPhone 4 but I would like to fix this issue, my question is I am way out of warranty but I'm wondering if the apple store would do anything for me?!? Any help is appreciated!!

Sounds like the lcd may be broken. Make sure all the connectors are firmly connected inside and if you still get the white screen you may need to replace the lcd.

That's what I was thinking (bad LCD) and I like quadruple checked the connectors everything is on straight I'll just replace it and see what happens
