    Default Apps Crash

I have 3GS and recently updated to OS 4.0.1. Since then, I have found that many apps crash and revert back to springboard quite often. It isn't a problem with particular apps, a it happens with many (in particular the TomTom app). I have ensured it's not a memory issue through killing all apps and then loading that particular app by itself. This did not happen when I used 3.1.2, only since I updated to 4.0.1. Any ideas why this happens and how I could solve it?
    Thanks

That doesn't help. I've done that for a couple of apps that always crash, and it still happens.

...and are your Apps up-to-date? Many of the 3.1.x apps are outdated for running on 4.x.

Turns out uninstalling each app, rebooting the phone, and then re-installing the app solves the problem.
