New back housing on ebay?

Has anyone tried any of the back covers you can get on ebay, i ordered a Silver metal one and a gold one, just wondering the quality and if anyone else has installed one.

No weight difference that I can tell. It doesnt feel like a metal back, probably just plastic made to look like it from what I can tell.

I have bought 3 different iPhone backs from ebay and not one gives the same finish as an oem back when fitted.

It takes allot of time, patience and effort to fit them and then they just feel cheap when they are on.

if your back needs replacing then i'd buy a more expensive oem back that comes with the chrome bezel fitted already. If you just want to replace the back for style reasons i wouldn't bother.

We are talking about the iPhone 4 back which can be changed very easily, not the 3GS one.

i switched it on my 3G and the quality was garbage. never seen it on a iphone 4 though
