dialing speed for extensions / credit cards etc.

Hi,

Does anyone if there is a way or a tweak to change the rate of which the iPhone dials extensions or numbers after a pause is inserted?

example: 555.987.1234 p 0123456789

Currently it is extremely slow and a string of 20 numeric characters takes forever...
