What do the iPhone and Minority Report have in common?

So I'm watching the movie Minority Report tonight and my wife and I are joking about how the interface that Tom Cruise's character uses is totally the iPhone multi-touch. Then a little bit further onto the movie I hear this very familiar sound and I have to rewind the DVR just to make sure. When they do a retina security scan, the confirmation tone is the same sound the iPhone makes when it is plugged into iTunes or to a charger.

So I take it somebody on the design team at apple is a fan of the movie!

Of course its hard to know where the sound came from first. As some of the sounds in the iPhone are already common to the whole Mac experience, maybe the sound designer from the movie originally borrowed it from Apple?
