    Default iTunes Backup Question...

    Sorry if this has been covered before but....

    If there an easy way to backup JUST my phone numbers & text messages using iTunes? Or a backup editor that can strip out the crap and leave just numbers & texts?

    A restore to new would would load just your phone contacts, as far as restoring text message it won't do that unless you restore from backup. You may be able to ssh into the phone and save them, then restore them manually after a fresh restore and jb.

    Ok thanks, I'll have a look - I was kinda hoping I could keep the backup in iTunes but guess Ill follow the sticky post I saw about manual backups.
