Hi guys, I've tried searching (google and here) with no luck. I recently upgraded to 4.1 on my iPhone 3G. I used redsnow to jailbreak. My problem is that my phone will no longer play music through anything connected to the dock. It just hangs there if I'm in the iPod menu. It plays out of the normal speaker (sometimes) if I play it from the lockscreen. If I reboot or respring while it is still connected it freezes at the lockscreen.
I've tried restoring and it plays then. I've then ran the jailbreak and again it works fine. I assume that one a cydia app may be the culprit, but I'm not sure. I uninstalled all of them, then rebooted, and was still left with this problem.
I'm looking for anyone who may have the same, or similar, problem. Or anyone who knows if there is a diagnostics tool or something to help pinpoint the problem. Or any suggestions in general. Thank you.
I'm not sure if it was playing music while charging alone. I used that for lack of a better title. It's more like playing music through external speakers via a port connection.
Also, OP, try jailbreaking with limera1n or a 4.1 alternate jailbreak. It might be a bug with redsn0w instead of SBSettings.
