replacing FolderSwitcherBG on i4 4.1

so i like to do as much theming as possible, even on my i4, without winterboard. i tried replacing the [email protected] at system/library/coreservices/springboard.app, it changes the image, because when i open it into photoshop its the image i replaced it with.. it has also changed the non-@2x image...
so pretty much i have deleted the original image, but SOMEHOW its still showing, i really dont understand how it could have possibly managed to stay the same???
any suggestions welcome

Try deleting this file com.apple.Springboard.folderLinen
From User/Library/Caches then respring your phone. It's just a cache so it will be recreated when you respring your phone, hopefully with your image.
