iTunes 10 Wont Download IOS 4.1

"There was a problem downloading the software for Wil's iPhone. The network connection timed out" is the error I receive from itunes when I try to download the new firmware. I have tried several times. I have rebooted my laptop twice. Im not sure what to do about it. I have googled but have not found an answer. I have the latest itunes version. I want to update and JB. I have a 4.1 firmware file I got from a different web site. Should I just update with that and jailbreak?

If I do that and it works, its just a temp fix. I just hope I dont have the same problem with 4.2 when it comes out.

Any ideas?

btw, I use KIS 2011 and have never had issues before. I have switched different internet providers recently but I wouldnt think their modem firewall would keep itunes from working as it has connected for the app store and such.

Try downloading it from a different source. Iclarified or right from the downloads section of modmyi.

4.1 isn't in the Downloads section here. i used crispytech.com to get the firmware for my 3GS
