Must have cydia apps?
I just jb my iphone 4 yesterday and was wondering what are some good apps worth dling. The last time I jb an iphone was with my old iphone 3g around 2 years ago, but I stop jbing it after it just got way too slow. So after 2 years the marketplace seems a lot different than before o0" Everything seems to cost some amount of money and not all of them have trials, so I'm not too sure where to start and what works or not.
I picked up winterboard again, but it's kinda iffy because ios 4 themes don't seem to work perfectly with 4.1. I picked up sbsettings and that's pretty much it right now.
Also quick question, is there anyway to access your iphone on the computer without using ssh? It doesn't seem to like my college's internet much. Anyhow thanks in advance =P

Sbsettings
Nospot -deletes spotlight
Springflash - uses led flash for flashlight
iFile - file directory
biteSMS - alternate txting app. Its awesome but doesn't work for 4.1 yet...
MyWi - tethering and turns your iPhone to a wifi hotspot.
Gridlock - place icons anywhere on springboard.
Pkgbackup - saves jailbroken packages so that if you upgrade say to 4.2 and jailbreak, you download pkgbackup from cydia, click restore from backup and you're done. No more trying to remember apps and spending hours dling them.iPhone 4 to Android directly back to iPhone 4. I learned my lesson and will never leave iOS again.

And there's a manual way to ssh via USB. I've done it, but it's been a long time. There's a tutorial somewhere out there.....

Yes it is just like the appstore but provides us with the cool apps that apple approves as well as sweet little tweaks.
Winterboard is a program that lets you run themes on your iDevice.
Some cool tweaks that I use are:
Browser changed (to make my default browser iCabMobile),
CyDelete (Can delete Cydia apps directly from the springboard),
Five Icon Dock (allows you to have five apps on your dock),
Five Icon Switch (allows for five icons in your multitasking bar),
Five-Column SpringBoard ( allows for the 5 columns of apps on the springboard),
MakeItMine ( allows for the changing of the text of the carrier logo),
OpenSSH (allows you to access the file systems of the iPhone).

If I have helped you then thank me.

Bitesms works fine if you use 5.0 beta.
Add this to cydia sources http://www.bitesms.com/cydia/beta5.0Last edited by disenchanted; 10-12-2010 at 08:52 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Here are some of my must haves that haven't been mentioned:
-Infindock (Let's you have more than 4 icons on a dock that scrolls)
-Safari download manager (Let's you download stuff via safari)
-sbsettings remove background processes (It kills all backgrounded processes in one click)
