Configuring Proxy on iPhone

In order to connect to my uni network for WiFi, I need to select a .pac file containing proxy information (http://www.brighton.ac.uk/proxy.pac) or type in the proxy server (proxy.brighton.ac.uk). How do I select this on an iPhone? I know how to do it on a mac, without this I can't connect.

I've never used this before but Under the wi-fi menu you can select the arrow next to the network and at the bottom there is a place to enter proxy information. If you don't know the server or port you can select "Auto" and enter the URL.

Like I said I've never used this but this seems like the right direction.
