I'm an avid user of the forums but finally I've come across an issue that seems to have not been addressed before. I was previously running 3.1.2 (I believe - if not it was 3.1.3) and realized my phone would just randomly shut off and then stop booting at the apple logo.. I then tried to many different things to get it back working and was able to boot into recovery mode holding the home button and installing a new firmware.

I'm being faced with the same issue again but this time the iPhone isn't being recognized in iTunes so when I put it into recovery mode.. it basically just sits there while attached to the cord.

I have no power button so getting into DFU mode without even having a connection for the computer is tough.


Any alternative ideas? I'm open to all and any..

I'm running Mac OS X .. iTunes 10.. iPhone 3G v.3.1.2 (has been pwned before).. No power/sleep button -__-
