Just type the word you want into safari ! That should do it .This used to work in the older firmwares .

did you tried gonna?
There is an option in Settings > General > Keyboard > Auto-Correction. Turn it off. This will allow you to type anything wrong...

Although this works, it's not ideal because until you turn auto correct off, you don't actually realise how many typos you actually make when texting fast etc, trust me it's ALOT!!
and as for my earlier suggestion not working, it seems that that doesn't work since iOS4 (lol "that that") I havnt manage to get it to work on my i4 anyways...

This is how I get past it when I type abbreviations.
If I'm going to type "gona" I'll type gona and before I press space, I backspace(delete) the a and retype it. It's something that will take a little getting use to but I got the hang of it really fast. Takes less than a second too.
Also, you have a whole keyboard on your phone, why not just type it all out
Only kidding, best of luck. Hope you can use my method.

Btw, it doesn't work for all words, but it most certainly works for gona.Last edited by deadcow; 10-09-2010 at 04:07 AM.

Or you could go way southern and do "fixn"
So like "Im fixn to go shop"
It doesn't have anything to auto-correct it to.
