Is there a way to disable the multitasking on the iphone 3g without having to jailbreak again? I am jailbroke on 4.1.....but I do not use this multitasking and I feel it starts to slow down my phone. Once I close all the apss running in the multitask bar it all goes back to running smoothly.
I have checked cydia but it looks like there is only 'disable multitasking on ios4' for the 3gs and iphone 4. Any ideas?
Your going to have to rejailbreak with redsn0w.
But try these steps to see if multitasking speeds up. I haven't been able to try them myself but I heard good reports
1. Go onto Cydia, Search Backgrounder and Download the iOS 4 version.
2. Now search Remove Recents on Cydia. Download and install it.
3. 3. Open Backgrounder and go to Global. Make sure "Backgrounder" is checked as 'Backgrounding Method' and "Fall Back to Native" is TURNED OFF
Oh. I'm not sure then. A redsn0w beta for mac os x has been released which can jailbreak 4.1. For sn0wbreeze I don't think there's any other way apart from restoring to another custom firmware.
Btw redsn0w beta are actually very stable. Most redsn0w vesions never get the final release. The last firmware to get a final redsn0w release was 3.0-3.1.2
