Should I get a iPhone 4 or 3Gs

My B-Day is a week away and the wife said I can get a new iphone as a b-day gift. My question is should I get a new iPhone 4 that I might not be able to jailbreak or unlock? Or should I pick up a 3Gs 32gb that I know I can jailbreak and unlock and also save some coin while I'm at it!!

I can pick up a mint 3Gs on CL cheap $250-$350
New iPhone 4 $600+taxes

If you're not getting it from AT&T, can't you get a 4 that's on 4.0.1 or below so you can jb and unlock?

Personally I really love my iP4, but it might be more practical for others to get a 3GS cuz if the price. I signed up for a contract so I paid $400 for 2 phones. But without contract, it's really up to you. You can still find iP4's that can be jb and unlocked from CL.

I found a couple iPhone4's on my local CL that I could JB/Unlock but Im not paying $700-$800 for one.

Get the 3GS and you'll have extra cash for that black & white TV

iPhone 4 to me is really worth it. It's a huge jump from the other phones, both cosmetically and performance-wise.

But it's up to you if you don't wanna spend double the amount of a 3GS. I can understand that.
