iPhone 3GS Stuck on boot screen

Ok so I just met some guy from Craigslist. Bought his 3GS in perfect condition, its on 4.0 jailbroken. My dumba$$, decided to do the on phone "Reset all content and media", next thing I know it won't boot. I don't even think he had the SSH blobs saved, even though he did have Cydia on there. Pleasee help

Well, all you can do at this point is try. I would say download tinyumbrella and check to see if it will see your phone, if not try getting it in recovery mode. Then you can check and see if the shsh blobs had been saved. If so set up the tss server and restore it to 4.0

Regularly TinyUmbrella does not read it. Now, I can get it into recovery mode. How can I check for the SSH blobs now??

Ok so I just did what you said, but it shows no blobs saved. So nothing I can do ? Will the jailbreak for 4.1 fix this problem?

put it in dfu mode and restore and then downgrade with tiny umbrella
